Psalm 53

Psalm 53:1-6

53
Chapter 53
To the director, on Machalath, a maskil, of David. 1 The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They have corrupted themselves and become abominable in iniquity; there is none who does good. 2 God looked down from heaven on the sons of Adam to see if there were any who understand, any who seek God. 3 Everyone has turned aside; together they have become corrupt. There is none who does good; there is not even one. 4 Have the workers of iniquity known, those who eat my people as they eat bread? They have not called on God. 5 There they were afraid—there was no fear! For God scattered the bones of those encamping against you; you put them to shame because God rejected them. 6 Who will give salvation for Israel from Zion? When God restores the captivity of his people, Jacob will exult, Israel will rejoice.
